Boris - Akuma No Uta (2003)
Comments: Akuma No Uta is the fifth record by Boris and they are playing a show on this lovely friday the thirteenth at Metro that I will be attending. Russian Circles is opening and also will put on a wonderful show. Boris does an amazing job of mixing sludge metal, stoner rock, drone, and post-rock on this effort. Not to mention that the cover of the record pays homage to Nick Drakes cover of Bryter Layter which is awesome. This album is not to be missed by anyone who enjoys some heavy rock music.
