Comments: Quicksand formed in New York City out of the ashes of the hardcore band Gorilla Biscuit by guitarist Walter Schreifels who also played bass in Youth Of Today. I remember a friend putting this album on in the early 2000's for me and I was blown away. I just recently rediscovered it and have fallen in love with it all over again. Sergio Vega comes up with some of the most impressive bass lines I have heard on any post-hardcore album. Vega is currently touring and playing bass for the Deftones. I recommend this to any listener who is a fan of post-hardcore and has not heard this underrated gem.

Efrim Menuck is one of the founding members of Godspeed You! Black Emperor and with Silver Mt. Zion he creates to what I believe to be some of the most beautiful music. This album is their fifth and they sound better than ever.
